Who Is Iggy-G?

Not too sure what it was about music that was so interesting, but the journey truly started with the start of the decade in 2010. Music was easier for me to access and listen to which rapidly became a big influence on how I acted, dressed, talked and shaped my likes and dislikes. Gradually as the time went by I would rewrite more and more parts of my favorite songs to fit me and my life, eventually leading me to rewrite complete songs.


In 2015 after graduating from high school, I scrapped up some recording gear and recorded my first 10 song mixtape along with my laptop and a $10 Walmart headset! For the next 6 mixtapes, over the next 5 years, I chose a variety of songs I liked as well as instrumentals found on YouTube, remixed them and brought my own flavor. From oldies to Chicano rap, from 90’s rap to today’s trap music I’ve challenged my writing ability to be able to change with the feeling and tone of different beats and songs. 


Prior to 2020, I released music solely on YouTube and Soundcloud. I felt it was time to see what I‘m really made of and leased my first few beats which will debut on my next project “Who Is Iggy-G Pt. 7” set to release in 2020 with the first single “Addict” available on all major platforms. I’m excited for this journey you’ve decided to take with me. There’s much more music to come as long as you’re willing to rock with me.
